Peacefully passed away on April 15, 2025, at age 97.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Air Force. He worked at Kodak Roll Coating, and when he retired, he volunteered full time at Unity Hospital, and part- time at St. Ann’s.
He is predeceased by his wife of almost 75 years, Betty Lou, his daughter Nancy Dunst, and recently, his baby brother Tom Beers.
He leaves behind his dedicated support team of daughters Patti (Ron) Holdraker, Colleen (Bob) Valerio, Kathy Beers; granddaughters Kelly Burdette, and Belinda (Dustin) King, son-in-law Gerry Dunst, and good friends Gail Tower and Dave & Joan Story.
Bob also leaves his son Michael Beers, and an additional 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 and 1/2 great-great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1-3pm Sunday May 4, 2025 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. On Monday morning at 10:45 am, friends may assemble at the Lake Ave Gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612 for inurnment in St. Francis Cremation Garden.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Honor Flight, Rochester, NY.
