Robert Warren Henry, a devoted counselor and cherished member of the Rochester community, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at St. Anns Community. Born in Rochester, New York, on October 2, 1947, Robert lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a profound sense of care for those around him.
Robert’s career was distinguished by his compassionate work as a counselor for the YMCA in Rochester, where he touched the lives of countless individuals through his guidance and support. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional endeavors; he was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, an experience that deepened his commitment to serving others with honor and integrity.
Known for his very caring nature, Robert was a steadfast friend and a pillar of support within his community. He found a spiritual home at Holy Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church in Rochester, where his faith and church family brought him comfort and connection. His trusted friend Timothy Clader, along with the entire church family at Holy Ascension Church, remember him fondly for his gentle spirit and unwavering compassion.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents, whose memory he cherished deeply. His legacy of kindness and service remains a testament to the values they instilled in him.
Services to honor Robert’s life will be held on June 9, 2026. The Mass will take place at Holy Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church, located at 650 N Landing Road in Rochester, New York, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the Mass, a burial will be held at Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, New York, at 12:00 p.m.
