Rochester- Robert G. "Bob" Hertweck, 65, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Bob was born in Rochester, NY on January 15, 1954 to the late George and Leona Hertweck. Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. After his military service he went on to work as a mechanic. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. His passion in life was fishing and hunting with his nephews. He never passed up estate sale or an auction. He will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his brother, George D. Hertweck, his sisters, Betty Maddocks, Marge Kau, and his nephew, Kurt Freese.
He is survived by his sisters, Maryann Hertweck, Kitty Hertweck, Judy Schnauber, and Laura Hertweck, his 19 loving nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Creamsicle.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Greece, NY.
