REFLECTIONS OF LIFE ROBERT E. JOHNSON

Robert E. Johnson, known as "Rob", was born on March 14, 1955 to Mrs. Carrie (Edwards) Hightower and the Late Clarence Johnson in Monticello, Florida. He relocated to Rochester, New York at an early age.

Robert believed that family was everything, and he was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Whenever he could, he made it a point to visit his family and friends.

He was quiet, direct, very observant, faithful, stubborn, and a friendly person. He had a good relationship with some of the most unique people in his circle. He was a true fighter at heart and never worried about anything. His favorite saying was, I'll be alright." He never gave up, and even through his illness, he exemplified true strength and grace.

It is noteworthy that Robert was a germophobe and always wore gloves everywhere he went. Also, he loved to talk. He always had to have the last word. He thought that he was always right even when he was wrong because he believed in what he said. Moreover, he would talk on the phone for hours to anyone about any and everything. When he called you on the phone and you didn't answer or call him back immediately, he was 'done with you until he cooled off. The only time that he didn't talk to you was you could talk to him. While he did his daily exercise routine. After that strenuous workout was finished, then you could talk to him.

He had an incredible memory, had very little patience, always believed in helping others, was very free hearted and unselfish. He would literally give you the shirt off of his back. He was a habitual person and a man of his word.

Robert believed in the Lord and read his Bible daily. His faith in God o. transition into his heavenly home.

He departed our lives, but not our hearts, peacefully on December 7, 2023 at the age of 68 in Rochester, New York. His loving sister, Sheila and brother-in-law, Milt Newsome, were by his side.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Carrie Hightower; three sisters, Betty Ervin, Sheila (Milt) Newsome, and Bernadine Hightower, aka,
