Fairport: Suddenly Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at age 63. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert C. and Ruth B. Payne; brother, Walter D. Payne. He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen M. Richards, Beverley J. (Bill) Empey; nephews, Bill and Bob Empey; sister-in-law, Dietlinde Payne; special friends, Bruce and Bill Garrett and the Garrett family; along with his friends at Charbroil Restaurant on Monroe Avenue. Robert was United State Army Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War and a retiree of the United States Postal Service after 30+ years of service.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 25 from 2-6 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where Services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to South Trenton Cemetery Association in c/o Larry Bogan, 10664 Church Road, Barneveld, NY 13304 or to the charity of the donors choice.
