Passed away on July 17th, 2019 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Sarah Long, brothers, Calvin F. Long, Willie J. Long; sisters, Bertha L. Wilson, Victoria Thompson; first wife, Evada Dolores Long. He is survived by his loving children, R.D. (Renee) Long, Alexandrina (Tony) Shortino, Jason M. Long; Ex-wife, Tracey Long; step-children, Columbus, Halbert and Myles Brooks; grandchildren, Kobe, Bryce and Colton; siblings, Frances M. Cooper, Ezeikel Long and Johnny Long along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and received honors in, Armed Forces Expeditionary, the Vietnam Service and the National Defense Service medals.
Family will receive friends 6PM - 8PM at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church,141 Adams St, Rochester, NY 14608. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery,
flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Outreach Center, 447 South Ave, Rochester NY, 14620.
