Robert Fanelli, 87, passed away on December 31, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Robert, a native of Auburn, N.Y., was an America Veteran, having served in Japan following the second World War, played saxophone in the Army's Music Program. Upon returning home, married his first and only wife Julia, who stayed with Robert until her passing in 2013.
Career-wise, Robert owned an apartment complex in Auburn, tending the property and renting for over 30 years, as well as running a complete window treatment company. Following his retirement, Fanelli enjoyed spending time with his family, talk radio and occasionally dabbling in home renovations. He his survived by his sons John and Al, daughter Teresa, grandchildren Nicole, Gino and George and Vito.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016, 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Parkway.
