Listen to Obituary

Tuesday March 31, 2026, passing away in peace at the age of 84 years old.

Predeceased by parents Rene’ and Beatice Sevigny, wife Nancy Sevigny, son, daughter-in -law and granddaughter Andrew, Laurie and Alyssa Sevigny, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Kenny Henderson, sister-in-law Iris Sevigny and Beloved grand-dog Rosie Mae.

He is survived by daughters Laurel (Michael) Collins and Aimee (Andy) Fox, Grandsons Alex, Eric, and Kyle Collins, Sister Patricia (Donald) Friedler, Brother Rene’ Sevigny and several nieces and nephews.

Bud's campfires were the biggest. His champagne was the sweetest. He fished at Buck Lake and hunted in Canada.

A deer and bear head mounted in the basement, the trophies of an excellent marksman.

He perfected his golf game. He ran the pool table. He could see five shots ahead; he had you beat before the break. There was always a shot to be made, always. One handed, bank the eight, call your next ball, it didn't matter, he ran the table.

His career as an exceptional sheet metal mechanic spanned over four decades. He was the one you went to when no one else could do the job. If he couldn't find a solution, he created one.

He created many masterpieces over the years. The clam cooker, the spit, the potato gun, the roaster, the sauce cooker, the Beermeister2000 to name a few. Each one imagined, designed and built by him to perfection.

He kept his lawn as pristine as a putting green. He loved to keep his lawn, and at least three neighbors’ lawns, neat and trimmed on his John Deere. He loved his John Deere so much, he built it its own shed.

After plowing his driveway, he'd snow-blow a track in the front yard for his grand-dog Rosie. He got such a kick watching her race through it, from the kitchen window.

He had quite a collection of Buddhas. Fat ones, skinny ones, big ones, tiny ones, he had them all. They spoke to him.

As impressive as his creations were, more so was his character. He was kind and generous. He would share anything that he had. Money, time, tools. If you needed it, and he had it, he was glad to give it to you. His joy came from the happiness his help brought to others.

He wasn't afraid to live, and he wasn't afraid to die. And he did them both on his own terms.
