Rochester: Peacefully on 06/01/2015 at age 84.
He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Mary (Lanning) Distaffen; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Robin Distaffen; his parents, Patsy and Filomena (Zampatori) Distaffen; brothers, Patsy (Etta) Distaffen, Guy Distaffen; sister, Rose Barber.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Rosemary (Janice) Distaffen, Joanne (William) Smart; step daughter, Raeann Jones; grandchildren, Judith (Angel Jimenez) and William (Gina Miller) Smart, Amy (Dennis) Jenks, Jamie Jovanelly, Kimberly (Brandon) Fritts, Joshua (Rebekah) Rimmer, Marye Rimmer, and Jordan (Amanda Hochlander) Rimmer, Laurie (Chris) Herring; and many great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Darlene Distaffen; brother-in-law, Daniel Barber; very dear friends, Jerry and Sheila Blanchard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thank you to Dr. Gerald Ryan for the loving care that he provided for our dad as well as the staff of the second floor of Unity Hospital.
Family will receive friends Thursday June 4th, 4pm to 6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where a prayer service will be held at 6pm. Contributions may be made in Rocky's name to:
