Rochester/Leesburg, FL: Passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at age 83. He is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy R. Stoessel. Survived by his sons, Mark (Elena), David (Lauren), John (Reilly) Stoessel; daughter, Lynne (Robert) Ross; grandchildren, Morgan, Abbey, Andrew, Rachel and Zachary; brother, Gilbert (Marta) Stoessel; many loving nieces & nephews.

Roger was Born in Buffalo, New York on October 16th, 1927. He was raised in Western New York and attended Blessed Trinity Grammar School and was also the 8th grade class President. Roger then went on to Buffalo Technical High School but left mid through his senior year to enlist in the US ARMY. He was enlisted in September of 1946 and served in the Japanese Occupation until July of 1948 when he was Honorably Discharged for his notable services. After his service to the United States, Roger attended Canisius College and obtaned a B.S. in Chemistry. He continued on at Conisius earning 24 out of 30 credits on his way to earning his Masters Degree when he married his beloved wife on June 27th 1953, Dorothy Ruth. Several of Rogers proudest accomplishments was the birth of his wonderful children and career accomplishments was being Quality Control Manager at Olin Corporation in Rochester, New York. Through his life Roger was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Genesee Valley Golf Club.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd from 5-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday 2 PM at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Road, Rochester, 14624. Private Interment in Bath National Cemetery.
