Rochester: Died peacefully in his sleep on November 13, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Ananias Brooks of Springfield, VA and Allen Brooks of Altamonte Springs, FL.; He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; his son, Ken Brooks; daughters, Dianne (Brooks) Ostrander, Kim (Tim) Moore; 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Brooks of Springfield, VA. and Dorothy Brooks of Altamonte Springs, FL.; 2 grandsons, Travis and Jason; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Ellenese Simms of New Orleans, LA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arthur and Rita Anatole of New Orleans, LA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosey served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a dedicated and avid golfer for almost 60 years. Rosey was a member of the Manhatten Golf Club.

Calling hours will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. on Wednesday, November 16th from 4-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Annunciation Church, 1754 Norton St., Rochester, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Rochester General Hospital, 7800 Unit.
