Cerone, Rosaline M. (Chiappone) "Chips"
Rochester: Went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at age 89. She was born in Rochester, NY. Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Alexander M. Cerone; parents, Michael & Delia Chiappone. Rosaline is survived by her children, Patricia A. (Richard) Sheets, Lorraine E. Cerone, Alexander M. and Richard A. Cerone; twin brother, Dominick Chiappone; sister, Sophie Serio; special cousins, Sandy LaGeorge, Antoinette Sardisco; best friend, Rose Farmen; sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Cerone and My Cerone of Rochester, Mary Nell Cerone of TN; many nieces, nephews, cousins; her shepherd dog, Max; and kitty Alexis. Rosaline worked for Mella Telephone, Security Trust Banks and Neisner's/McCrory's stores. She was nicknamed "The Starlight of Main Street" because of her kindness and generosity toward others, and friendships that she made on Main Street.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 2-6 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rosaline's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
