Rochester/Ontario: 7/11/1929 - 2/5/2011, at age 81. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard F. Gay Sr.; her parents, Walter and Lillian Hauck; brother, Walter J. Hauck. She is survived by her son, Richard F. (Sarah) Gay Jr. of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Dawn (John) Maynard of Towanda, PA, Mary Beth (Tim) Lewis of Ontario, NY; grandchildren, Kellie Lewis, Timmy Lewis, Zachary Gay, Cameron Gay, Katie Lewis and a granddaughter due in April, 2011; a great-granddaughter, Mollie Marie Waite; sister, Catherine Hauck; brother, Jack (Shirley) Hauck and several nieces and nephews. Rose was an avid Rochester Americans Booster Club member and a NY Mets and Buffalo Bills fan.
The family will receive friends Monday (TODAY), Feb. 7th, from 4-8 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Rose's Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 St. Martin's Way. Interment, Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Name of Jesus Church.
