Rosemary "Rosie" Huie

Passed away on September 4, 2026 at the age of 82.

Predeceased by her husband, Bruce Huie; parents, Patrick & Isabel Christopher; brother, Gerald Nuss; in-laws, Alice & Larry Huie; sister-in-law, Nancy.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Buchholz, Christine (Dana) Hutchinson, & David (Shellie) Huie; grandchildren, Dustin (Lindsey) Buchholz, Dalton Buchholz, Nicholas (Chelsea) Hutchinson, Aaron (Riley) Hutchinson, Erica (Adam Deporter) Mays, Benjamin Mays, Alex (Hanna) Huie; great-grandchildren, Grayson Horn, Layton Hutchinson, & Palmer Huie; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Mary (Bill) Colin; sister-in-law, Linda Sellinger; many nieces & nephews.

Rosie lived a life centered around family, friendship, and the simple joys that brought people together. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce, and together they raised their three children, creating a loving home filled with many wonderful memories. Rosie spent many years working in the Geneva school system, serving in several aide positions throughout her career. She loved camping, traveling to campgrounds throughout New York and Florida, and especially enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. Whether gathered around the table for a game of euchre, cribbage, or cards, Rosie treasured the laughter and companionship that came with being together. She was also a devoted Elvis fan and had a special appreciation for the King. Though petite in stature, Rosie had a spunky spirit and a warm presence that made her truly memorable to all who knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Boulevard, Rochester, New York, 14609.

Immediately following the visitation, interment will be held privately at Bellona Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held later in the evening on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seneca Presbyterian Church (Old Number 9 Church), 4414 Number Nine Road, Stanley, NY 14561.
