Passed Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Concetta Palazzolo, brother, Ralph Palazzolo, sister-in-law, Jytte (George) Palazzolo, brother-in-law, Louis (Lucy) Giglio, and nephew, Michael Palazzolo.
Survived by his loving daughter and devoted caregiver, Debra Palazzolo; his siblings, George Palazzolo and Lucy Giglio; sister-in-law, Mary "Sandie" (Ralph) Palazzolo; stepdaughter, Kimberly Clairemont, his nieces and nephews, Mark Palazzolo, Michele (Rick) Adams, Yvonne (Delano) Pohlson, Tina (Mark) Adams, David (Lynalove Daya) Palazzolo, Maria (Steven) Gangarossa, and Louis Giglio; beloved great nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Amanda) Neville, Michael Palazzolo, Christina (Caleb) Finnell, Maddison Leiker, Nicholas Leiker, Alexander Pohlson, Noelle Gangarossa, Lauren Gangarossa, Sebastian Maitland; cousins and dear friends.
Ross was a Captain with the Rochester City Fire Department. He was exceptionally generous with the time he gave to help family members, friends, and neighbors, and is remembered fondly for this, as well as for his trademark sense of humor.
Family and friends may call Friday November 8, 4-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Greece. Internment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in his memory.
