Roy Lee Holman was born on April 24, 1932 in Perkins, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Combat Medic. He was honorably discharged proudly obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was a Certified Executive Chef and a member of the American Culinary Federation. He was an active member of the New Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church (formerly Jefferson Avenue Seventh-Day Adventist Church) in Rochester, NY for over 65 years serving in various capacities as an Elder, Head of the Culinary Department, member of the Men Chorus and Recreation leader.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Dawn Holman he is survived by his children Kevin (Sheila) Holman and Wendy (Dion) Johnson; two grandchildren, Chadwick (Alexis) Holman and Kelly Holman; three great-grandchildren, Caryn Holman, Alayna Holman and Chadwick Holman II; niece Camilla Littleton and a host of family and friends.
Celebration services for Roy Holman will be held on October 15, 2024 at the:
New Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2710 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624
Viewing and reflections will held at 10:00am with the celebration services following at 11:00am. Services will be streamed live on the church YouTube page.
Interment to immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery.
