Hamlin: Peacefully went home to heaven after 95 years on Saturday, October 11th, 2014; United States Army Veteran of WWII and member of American Legion Post #941. Predeceased by his first wife, Betty; his second wife, Helen; and his sister, Jean. Survived by his daughter, Madeline (Paul) Teremy; son, Michael (Patricia) Ruf; brother, Earl (Beverly) Ruf; sister, Evelyn Lindsley; grandchildren, Beth (Wayne) Anderson, Jennifer Teremy, Rebecca (Steve) Spector, Sarah Teremy, Christi (Matthew) Gurniak, Catherine Ruf and Clare Ruf; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Gibson, Benjamin, Lauren, Nora and LilyRose; sisters-in-law, Agnes Monna and Evelyn Monna; his brother-in-law, Jack Monna; several nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Journey Home.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 15th at 9:30am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish at St. Margaret Mary Church, 401 Rogers Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery immediately after the Mass. No Prior calling hours.
