Russ loved woodworking in his garage, reading and tending to his flowers in his garden. He would be the first to help anyone no matter what the task was. He loved family functions, being with the family and his many friends.
Russ spent thirty-five years working at Delco Products, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. A talented craftsman, he was a proud member of the Rochester Woodworkers Society and loved spending time woodworking in his garage, building furniture, creating unique gadgets around his home, and crafting thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Russ was meticulous in everything he did and took great pride in his work, whether tending to his flowers in the garden, reading, or helping others with any task, big or small. He never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Russ deeply loved family gatherings and cherished the time he spent with his family and many friends. He had a gift for conversation, could strike up a friendship with any stranger, and was a wonderful storyteller who could always fill a room with laughter. His kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched everyone who knew him, and he will be sadly missed by all.
The Giunta family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at University of Rochester Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, and support they provided to Russ during the final chapter of his life.”
