Sabatian S. Piedmont

Sabastian Piedmont, age 32, passed away, leaving behind a family and circle of friends who loved him deeply and will miss him beyond words.Sabastian was the beloved son of Sarah (Dale) Piedmont and Derek Piedmont, and the cherished brother of Rebekkah (Piedmont) Straubing and her husband, Charles Straubing.Sabastian was a talented lawyer with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building something of his own. He had recently taken one of the biggest steps in his life by opening his own law firm—a dream he had worked hard to achieve and one he was incredibly proud of. His law firm represented not only his professional accomplishments, but the vision he had for his future and the life he was building for himself.Sabastian was also an ordained minister, a role that allowed him to preside over weddings and share in some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives. This was another reflection of the many different gifts and interests that made Sabastian who he was.

Outside of his career, Sabastian had a tremendous love for sports. He especially loved football and proudly followed both the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed fantasy sports, where his knowledge, strategy, and competitive spirit could shine. He also had a passion for sports cards, collecting and selling them and enjoying the community that surrounded a hobby he loved.And then there was Bonzo, his beloved English bulldog and, in so many ways, the love of his life. Sabastian adored Bonzo, and their bond was unmistakable. Bonzo was his constant companion, his source of happiness, and a very special part of his world. The love Sabastian had for Bonzo was one of the many things that showed the tenderness beneath his ambitious and competitive spirit.But above all else, Sabastian cherished his family and friends. Time spent with the people he loved was precious to him. He had so much life ahead of him and so many dreams still unfolding, making his absence all the more difficult for everyone who loved him.

Sabastian is survived by his parents, Sarah (Dale) Piedmont and Derek Piedmont; his sister, Rebekkah (Piedmont) Straubing and her husband, Charles Straubing; his maternal grandparents, John and Linda Dale; his paternal grandfather, James Piedmont; and his paternal grandmother, Carol Piedmont-Skellon, along with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and his beloved Bonzo.Sabastian left us far too soon. 

He had built a life filled with people he loved, passions that brought him joy, and dreams he was just beginning to make reality.His life was defined by who he was, the people he loved, the dreams he pursued, and the love he gave in return.Sabastian will forever be our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and devoted dog dad.He was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed. And he will remain in our hearts forever.
