Sandra Darby of Rochester, passed away peacefully with family at her side on April 27th, 2026 at the age of 78. She was born to the late George and Dora Barton on March 5th, 1948.
Sandra was a graduate of Olympia High School. Instead of pursuing a career in Cosmetology she married her first husband, Ronald Ott. Together they had two sons. Joseph and John. As happens, she later married Thomas Rebis and had two sons as well. Anthony and Kenneth. She spent her life caring for her children, watching them compete in sports, playing Yahtzee with friends and gossiping on the phone for hours with friends and family. Thomas passed away in 1994 and Sandra eventually married Leslie Darby. They moved to and lived a peaceful retired life in Nashville N.C. where Leslie passed away in 2015. Sandra moved back to Rochester in 2017 and brought with her, the love of her life, Bingo, her Yorkshire terrier.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, George and Dora Barton, brothers, James and Gerald Barton, and husbands Thomas Rebis and Leslie Darby. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Barton, the father of two of her sons, Ronald (Melody) Ott, her children, Joseph Ott, John (Adrienne Dandrea) Ott, Kenneth (Carrie) Rebis and Anthony (Julie) Rebis, her grandchildren Joseph Jr.(Alison) Ott, Jake Kolesak, Trevor (Brittany) Ott, Taylor (Derek) Marshall, Katlyn Newberry (Kyle Bailey), Bobby Richmond, Shane (Jessica Keller), Thomas, Alan John (AJ), Jack, and Olivia Rebis, her great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Joseph III, Madelyn, Lainey, and Ryan Ott, and her beloved Yorkie, Bingo.
Visiting hours for Sandra will be held on Thursday, May 7th, from 10am – 12pm at New Comer Funeral Home at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, followed by a Memorial Service. A private burial will be held after for immediate family at White Haven Memorial Park.
