She worked at Kodak for 13 years and for GM and the UAW Local 1097 for a combined 39 years. It was at the UAW where she made life-long friends that include her "golf girls" and her best friends Dan Maloney, Billy O., and Chris Brancato.

Sandie will always be remembered for her quick wit, fierce independence, delicious Thanksgiving dinners, and her love of Pepsi.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be sent to Journey Home in Greece as Sandie felt that the staff and volunteers there do "God's work".
