Scott W. McLaughlin of Greece, New York, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 82. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Regina McLaughlin; infant son, Kevin McLaughlin; and his parents, Albion and Maxine McLaughlin.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherri Camardo; his son, Scott (Kristin) McLaughlin, Jr.; grandchildren Jesse Rideout, Elodie McLaughlin, and Delphine McLaughlin; brother David (Judy) McLaughlin; niece Lisa; nephews Kip and Kevin; brother‑in‑law Eric (Cathy) Steeves; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Scott was a proud retiree of Eastman Kodak Company. Before moving from Millinocket, Maine to Rochester to begin working at Eastman Kodak, he became the youngest ever Eastern Maine Bowling Champion—an achievement he carried with pride throughout his life. A lifelong sportsman, he spent decades enjoying little league baseball, softball, billiards, bowling, darts, and hunting—sharing many hunting seasons with his best friend and coworker of more than sixty years, Fran (Candie) Gulick. Though past his peak playing years, Scott worked hard to remain a dangerous force to even the most accomplished players in his league, enjoying league play with his buddies until shortly before he passed away. He always praised his competitors for making him better at whatever he did.
While Scott lived, worked, and raised his family in Greece for the majority of his life, he never forgot his “Maine roots,” and always vacationed in northern Maine, which he always considered home.
Services for Scott will be held privately.
