Rochester: Passed peacefully Sunday, November 6, 2011 at age 64. She is predeceased by her parents, George & Elizabeth Nerau; brothers, Paul and Alan Nerau. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Gary; sons, Alan Nerau, Todd (Reana) Knapp, Gene Knapp, Adam (Jennifer) Knapp; daughters, Ronna (Frank) Avitabile, Rebecca Knapp, Melissa Knapp; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sisters, Norma Bartlett, Patricia (Horst Merkel) Dewinde; brothers, Ronald, Victor and Daniel Nerau; many nieces and nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9th from 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Sheila's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 12 Noon at St. Monica's Church, 831 Genesee Street. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623.
