We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Stephen Leslie Parysek, 73, on July 18, 2025 in Rochester, New York.
Steve is predeceased by his father, Lesie Leonard. Steve is survived by Karen, his wife of 52 years; and his children Stephen, Timothy (Holly) and Richard (Gwen). Forever cherished, and remembered by his mother, Mary, and his 3 grandchildren, Lilly, Beau and Quinn. Siblings; Patricia, Judy (Greg Ludwig), Ruth Kohl, Cindy and Ron. Brothers & sisters-in-law; Jeanne (Richard Pelkey), Elaine Dwyer, Marion Huling, Ray Carley, Deb Jones, Don Carley and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Steve was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. He chose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.
No words can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family, friends and neighbors who have been there for us throughout this difficult time. Also a heartfelt thank you to the EMT's and the staff at the University of Rochester for the exceptional care they gave him.
In lieu of calling hours, please join us in a Gathering of Remembrance from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at Lucca Kitchen and Cocktails, 311 North Washington St., East Rochester, NY 14445.
A Memorial Mass and reception will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, at Church of the Assumption, 20 East Ave., Fairport, NY 14450.
Donations may be made in Steve's name to Mercy Ships or Habitat for Humanity.
