Stephen William Woedy
Greece: Passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at age 58 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care in Greece, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 4, 1957. A 1976 graduate of Spencerport High School, he married Karen Hess on June 2, 1990. Steve loved his girls and truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; boating, cheering for his Washington Redskins, buying and selling cars, and spending time with his many friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Hess); daughters, Valerie (Boyfriend Rob), and Michelle. Steve was the oldest of seven children; Tom, Lynda (Dan McGarry), Kurt, Laura (Doug Westveer), John (Sheila); mother-in-law Barbara Pawlicki; brother-in-law, Kevin Hess (Cheri) and many nieces and nephews, Claire and Ian McGarry, Will and Simon Westveer, Andrei and Ashley Woedy, Abby and Dylan Hess; close friends, James, Diana, and Halie Wenner, along with many friends and extended family. Steve was also predeceased by his parents, William and Yvonne Woedy, and youngest brother Daniel.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue from 3-6 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
