Passed away on Monday, May 9th 2016 at age 78. Predeceased by his mother, Martha; 2 brothers. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Annie (Suggs) Broadhurst; sons, Wendell & Steward Jr. (Shirlee) Broadhurst; daughter, Linda Suggs; grandchildren, Jessica Copeland, Theron Hawkins, Shaquille Broadhurst, Shanikka Broadhurst Imanne Long and Lisa Hayes; sister, Doretha Sutton; brothers, Clifton (Dahila) Broahurst and Ray Leonard; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling Hours will be held from 5-8 PM on Saturday, May 14th at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Funeral Services and Interment will be held in LaGrange, North Carolina.
