Susan Gurney Kooper, 60, of Irondequoit, passed away on August 24, 2016.
Visitation will be held at New Comer Funeral Home(Empire Blvd) on 8/28/2016 at 2-4pm and 6-8pm .
Funeral service will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church(Culver Rd) on 8/29/2016 at 10am with Reverend Dr. Ann Kemper officiating. Burial/Interment will follow at Irondequoit Cemetery. New Comer Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
Susan was born in Rochester, NY to Frank And Elsie Gurney on October 6, 1955. She went to Pittsford Sutherland High School and graduated in 1974. She worked as a Food Service Employee for The Friendly Home and Rochester General Hospital for many years. She was involved in Eastern Star. She enjoyed Crafts, Bowling, Watching Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Games, Her dad's favorite baseball team.
Susan is preceded in death by her Father, Frank Gurney.
Susan is survived by her Mother, Elsie Gurney of Brighton. Husband, Ronald of Irondequoit. Daughter, Kaci of Irondequoit. Son, Matthew of Brighton. Sister Linda Angermeier and Husband Lee and their children Lindsay and Lisa of North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 1124 Culver Rd. Rochester, NY 14609. Condolences may be left in Susan's online guestbook at www.newcomerrochester.com.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital Floor 8-3600. We can't say enough for the outstanding level of care they provided to Susan in her last moments with her loved ones.
