Susan Lee McCauley

Susan was born July 21st 1959 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Douglas Herbert Berry and Frances Rose Bernola.

Susan graduated from Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in 1977. She studied human services with a pre-social work specialization at Monroe Community College and received her Associates in Applied Sciences degree in 1991. She then went on to Buffalo State University, earning a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1993, with a concentration in photography and a minor in art therapy.

Susan married Bruce Roy McCauley in 1980, then chose to diverge into different paths in life before his passing.

Susan loved all arts, especially music. All through her high school years she was apart of her school’s chorus ensemble. She also admired many musicians and bands, with Ville Valo of HIM being her favorite.

For 16 years, Susan treasured her cat, Turquoise. She adored animals and the beauty of nature. She was a true empath, who valued her peace and serenity.

Remaining to cherish Susan’s memory are her father, Douglas H Berry and Jean of Rochester, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins.

Preceded in death were her former spouse, Bruce R McCauley, April 23, 1988 and her mother Frances R Bernola, February 7, 2005.

Funeral or Memorial services will not officially be held. Her ashes will be spread to spend eternity near her husband.

Memorial donations in Susan’s memory may be directed to any animal shelter within the Rochester, NY area.
