Rochester: Passed peacefully Sunday, March 13, 2011 at age 92. Predeceased by parents, Mary and Thomas Scally; brothers, Mickey, Gerald and William Scally; sisters, Mary Jane Paris, Catherine Orlick, Margaret Hagen, Frances Zadorecky. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph (Margaret) and Frank (Catherine) Scally; sister, Anna (James) Janicki; sister-in-law, Mary Scally; brother-in-law, Joseph Zadorecky; many nieces and nephews.
Thomas graduated from The Aquinas Institute in 1936 and then went on to work at GM-Rochester Products in Engineering. During WWII he served in Army Air Force and became disabled from an injury and was discharged. He then worked at the US Postal Office until retirement. Thomas was a start up member of the Dutchtown, Keith Miller VFW Post #6595.
A special thank you to the staff at Latta Road Nursing Home for their care.
Family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 23, 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where a Service will immediately follow at 7 PM. Private spring Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to charity of choice.
