Tomas Martinez

Tomas passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 86.

Predeceased by his brother, Paul Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Yolanda Martinez; children, Tomas Martinez, Jr., Wilfredo (Sonia) Martinez, Jose (Maria) Martinez, Mireya Martinez and Tatia Martinez; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Marta (Lalterio) Mendez; many nieces and nephews.

Tomas was one of the oldest Puerto Rican musicians in Rochester, NY. His music was his passion.

He played his guitar all of the time, whether it was with his band, at church or in his home. The family will always remember his style of playing the guitar and how much they enjoyed the way his music made them feel.

Family will receive friends Thursday, July 17th 4-7PM at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 864 E. Main Street, Rochester, NY 14605, where Tomas' Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 18th at 10AM.

Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
