Greece: Suddenly, December 16, 2011, 64 years old. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jane A. Richey; daughter, Michelle (Christopher) Shaw; son, Chad (Jennifer) Richey; his adoring grandchildren, Austin, Brendyn and Gianna Shaw and Autumn Richey; sister, Gerri (Jerry) Layo; brother-in-law, James Barkley; many cousins, nieces and nephews; his dearest friend, Lenny Luce and his faithful companion Cassie. Predeceased by his father, Vella E. Sr.; mother, Theresa and brother, Harold all of Massena, NY. Retired from GM after 31 years of service. Member of the Conservation Club of Brockport and Rochester Bass Masters.
Memorial calling hours will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 2:30-5:30 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Rochester Rotary Charitable Trust, 180 Linden Oaks, Suite 200, Rochester, NY 14625 to benefit Rotary Sunshine Camp.
