Penfield:
Entered into rest on November 1st, 2015, at the age of 87 after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by his loving wife, Rose. He is survived by daughters Patti (Steve) Brasser and Marsha (KC) Hutchinson. Also survived by grandson Walter Watkins.
Walter was a WWII veteran, who loved telling stories of his experiences in the military. Always a "Glass Half- Full" person, he firmly believed that everything happens for a reason- either to teach us a lesson, or to make us stronger. To him, every setback was a stepping stone to bigger and better things to come.
After 22 months of sadness, he will finally be reunited with the love of his life.
Mom and Dad together again.
Forever.
Per Walter's wishes, there will be no prior calling hours . Interment private.
Those friends wishing to, are invited to make donations it Walter's memory, to St. Ann's Home/Leo Center For Caring, 1500 Portland Ave Rochester, NY 14621 where he peacefully spent his final days.
