Temple, GA: Suddenly, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at age 57. He is survived by his wife, Petra; children, Shawn, Tanina (Josh); stepdaughter, Marlena; 1 grandchild; 5 step grandchildren; his sisters, Ann (Steven) Lee, Sharon (Oscar) Ortiz, Gaye (Zac) Antonio, Sandra (Traci) Riley; brother, Kevin Riley; many nieces and nephews; other family members Brad (Julie) and Brian (Marsha). Wayne was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served his country from 1972-1976. A retiree of Delco Products after 30 years of service, he coached for the Cobra Soccer Organization and Greece Schools for many years. He relocated to Douglasville, GA, where he was employed as a supervisor at Honda Lock.
Wayne left an indelible impression on everyone he came in contact with. He was always a cheerful, outgoing and caring individual, with a passion for family and soccer.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 27th from 5-9PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Wayne's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
