It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Anderson Seward.
Wendy, 64, of Rochester passed away peacefully on April 15th 2026 surrounded by family. Wendy was one of the first women in her field of industrial engineering to run her own team/floor at Xerox and was a lifelong adventurer, always traveling the world with family and friends.
She loved many things in life like gardening, going on cruises, casinos, wine festivals (toga competitions), comedy clubs and most of all throwing family gatherings during the holidays to bring everyone together and cook for them. The family knows her for her outstanding Christmas tree decorations, peanut butter and oreo dessert balls with the annual White elephant Xmas gift game before it was even called the White elephant. Wendy would make a two-style Thanksgiving dinner with her famous crispy pork picnic skin that everyone fought over while still having the traditional turkey and fixings. Easter she would host her 800 easter egg hunt for anyone's kid that could make it.
Throughout her life she touched many people lives: friends, family, and strangers alike. She was kind, giving, loving, always looking on the brighter side of things and smart as hell without asking anything back in return. She donated her free time to soup kitchens and Salvation Army during holiday seasons.
She was the epitome of what a true good person is supposed to represent in this world. Wendy was a amazing mother, wife, sister, aunt, and grandma. Heaven gained an angel. Say hi to everyone up there for us. This is not goodbye, this is see you later. We will all love and miss you very much. Xoxoxo
Predeceased by her Parents, David E. and Catherine R. Anderson.
She is survived by her Husband, Paul Seward; Son, Olvin (Selena) Cortes; Daughters, Yolanda Cortes and Monica Cortes; Sisters, Cathy (Bruce) Anderson- Harmon and Cindy (Greg) Blair; Grandchildren, Mercedes and Jaylon; 3 Great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
