William A. Williams

January 18, 1919 — March 19, 2013

Age 94.
An honest, kind man who loved his family and his country.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Charlotte and his brother John Williams.

Survived by his sons William R. (Karen) and Richard A. (Barb), sister Dorothy Stringer and brother Lawrence Williams, granddaughters Meredith (Justin) Kulik and Alison (Gary) Reynolds and several nieces and nephews. Will be dearly missed by all of his great-grandchildren: Jackson Kulik, Levi Kulik, Willa Reynolds and Whitney Reynolds.

William was an 8-year Veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS West Virginia. In World War II, he participated in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day and was a purple-heart recipient.

In his long life William enjoyed many wonderful summers at his cottage in Sylvan Beach, NY and winters in St. Augustine, Florida. An avid golfer until the age of 90 and a NY Giants/Yankee fan forever.

The family would wish to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Country staff at the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for their exceptional care, especially Kristen and Valerie.
