William "Bill" Ryan

Passed away on September 21, 2026 at the age of 75.

Predeceased by his parents, William and Shirley Ryan; sister, Linda Kelly.

He is survived by his children, William Ryan and Colleen (Ben) Tabberer; beloved granddaughters, Chloe, Avery, and Gracie Tabberer; siblings, Joan Ryan, Mary (James) Macaluso, Patricia Ryan, Shirley Ryan, Carol Ryan, and Robert (Heidi) Ryan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who found some of his greatest joy and peace surrounded by nature. He especially loved camping at Allegany State Park, where over the years he formed a special connection with the Seneca Nation of Indians. He was warmly embraced by the community and deeply valued the friendships he made there, as well as the opportunity to learn about and appreciate their rich culture and traditions. These experiences became a meaningful part of his life and created memories he treasured dearly. Bill was also a proud friend of Bill W. for 50 years, a testament to his strength, perseverance, and commitment to living a life of purpose and connection.

Family will receive friends 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, October 1, 2026 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Bill's Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Friday, October 2, 2026 at St. Charles Borromeo, 3003 Dewey Avenue.

Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612.
