Rochester, NY
Willie Byrone Morgan was born December 17th, 1940 in Auburn, Alabama to Frank Morgan and Mamie Drake. He was the eldest child of the family. He started working at the age of 8 years old and gave his mom all the money to help with household expenses.
He attended Drake High School where he was a drum major in the school band. He graduated in 1960, then moved to Rochester, NY. He started working for different companies one major was Eastman Kodak. He was the first African- American Crane they ever had.
Genesee Brewery was another company he worked for until he started his own business named Alabama Al's, where he specialized in a special sauce and chicken sandwiches. He then went to construction companies and asphalt. He later found a passion for welding and specialized in making barrel grills and artwork out of tools.
He is predeceased by his daughter Zina, and grandson Samir Williams.
He departed this life August 31st, 2026 at the age of 85. He leaves to cherish his memories his Loving Wife Julia of 69 years; Children, Blanche, Vanessa, Morgana, Carrie, Maria, Shannon, Jason, Mark, Antoinette, Cynari, Destiny, Cyni, Rodney, Macharia, and Nicholas.
He is going to be missed deeply by everyone that loved and adored him.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 11th, 2026 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Newcomer Cremations and Funerals (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00PM.
Interment Riverside Cemetery.
